Planning a Visit

why does your museum look like a play room?

The museum is all about smart PLAY—hands-on, creative, and curious. All of our exhibits are interactive and use play as a tool to encourage independent exploration and learning, of scientific, problem solving, or teamwork concepts.

Where are the exhibits from?

We collaborate with top makers and museums around the world to bring the most innovative exhibits to Italy. (US, Sweden, Germany, Netherlands, France, Belgium etc) No screens, no static installations, just science and joy. Here is our Exhibit List.

Can I drop off the kids and leave?

NO! The museum aims to provide a solution for parents who are looking for activities they can do with their children. If you don’t want to spend time with your kids, you can drop them off at a ludoteca instead. 

Is there a guide?

No, the museum is a haven for child-led discovery and open ended play.

If you are looking for animators or instructor-led activities, this might not be the right activity for you.

What age is it appropriate for?

The museum welcomes families with children of all ages. The majority of our children visitors are between the age of 6 month and 10 years old. 

how big is the museum?

The museum is very SMALL.

It is designed to only host a maximum of 10–15 families at a time.

Do you host birthday parties?

No, we do not host birthday parties at the museum. 

There are many great birthday party venues in and around lecce you can check out. 

Do i have the mindset needed for this activity?

We are fully transparent with our mission and document the museum in depth on our Instagram. Please check out our videos and decide for yourself if this activity is right for your family.

Do i need a reservation?

Yes, museum visits are by online reservations only. 

Do you host School or group visits?

Yes, you can find our group visit application form here. 

Making & Changing a Booking

How much are tickets?

Tickets are €8.19 +VAT for visitors older than 6 month. 

When is the museum open?

The museum is open on select days only. For the most accurate, real-time availability, please check our online calendar. 

How do time slots work?

Each reservation is valid only for the two hour reservation window. You can arrive and depart anytime during your reservation window. 

If a timeslot does not exist on the calendar, can i still book it?

No, it means the timeslot does not exist. 

Do kids need a ticket?

Yes, children are the stars of the museum experience. If you feel your little one is too young to fully enjoy it, we will be happy to welcome you at a later time.

Do adults need a ticket?

Yes. We suggest please keeping non-participating adults at home. We have limited capacity and we’d rather have more space for children than a bunch of adults staring at their phones.

How does wait list work?

Waiting list means all tickets are already sold out. By joining the waitlist, you will receive an automatic email If someone changes their reservation to another date and tickets becomes available.

Do you participate in disability or free day programs?

We are a private museum and unfortunately we do not receive public funds to finance programs for the disabled and discounted visits.

What is your cancellation policy?

All sales are final and non refundable. 

What if i can not make it?

You can reschedule your booking before your appointment starts. To reschedule, open your booking confirmation email and click on the green ‘View/Change Booking’ button. 

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes gifts cards can be purchased from the ticketing page or on the Gift Card page here. 

how do i redeem a gift card?

You can input your voucher code at checkout. If you have multiple codes, you can input them all by separating them with a comma and space. “, “

Visiting the Museum

Is food allowed at the museum?

No, food is not allowed at the museum. There are many great food options near the museum you can pair with your visit. Check out this guide. 

Can I bring a stroller?

No, we do not allow strollers inside the museum because they take over the activity areas. We recommend leaving them in the car or using a body baby carrier instead. 

Is there parking?

Yes, there are metered parking available on our street and surrounding area. Download Easy Park to simplify parking payment in Lecce. There are also parking garages in Piazza Mazzini such as Oberdan Parking.
